A big brother or big sister book that stars your child
A new baby changes everything for an older child. A book where they are the hero, with the baby in the story too, helps them see their new job as something to be proud of. Tell us about your child and the baby, and we write and draw the story.

A sample: “Leo Is a Big Brother”
Made on our form, like any book, in the bright cartoon style. The family is invented; this is what they wrote:
Leo, 3. A three-year-old boy with light brown skin, big brown eyes and short black curly hair, wearing a yellow T-shirt with a small rocket, blue dungarees and green sneakers. Loves: trucks, building towers and helping. He is about to become a big brother: his new baby sister comes home, and he finds all the ways a big brother can help. Also in the story: baby sister, Maya.

Leo had a yellow truck and a basket of blocks. Soon, he would have a baby sister, too!

He made a little road across the rug. “Ready for baby!” said Leo.

Then Maya came home. Leo peeked into her bed. “Hello, little sister!”

- Her hands were tiny. His hands were bigger. “I can help,” said Leo.
- First, he parked his truck in its basket. A clear rug was a lovely way to help.
- He put away his blocks, one by one. “I can help,” said Leo.
- When a grown-up asked for a clean cloth, Leo found one. He was a cloth-finding helper!
- Maya wiggled her little feet. Leo wiggled his fingers. “Hello again!”
- He sang a tiny truck song. “Roll, roll, little wheels.” Maya listened.
- Then Maya closed her eyes. Leo tried his quietest voice. “Sleep, little sister.”
- While she slept, he built a little tower. He set each block down softly, softly.
- When Maya woke, he showed her his tower from the rug. “I made it for you to see!”
- Maya curled her hand around his finger. Leo stayed still and smiled. Helping could be gentle, too.
- “I can help,” whispered Leo. “And I can love you.” He liked being her big brother.

Questions
- The baby isn't born yet. Can it still be in the book?
- Yes. Describe the baby as you picture them, for example “a newborn baby girl in a yellow blanket”, and leave the name empty if you haven't chosen one.
- What age is it for?
- For newborns to 7-year-olds. The story is written for your child's age: a short, gentle rhyme for toddlers, a little adventure for older children.
- Can it be a gift from the grandparents?
- Of course. Anyone can make the book, and the first page can carry a message from whoever gives it.
- We have two older children. Can both be in it?
- The story has one hero, and up to 3 more characters besides your child can join: brothers, sisters, the new baby and the dog.
- Can I see the book before I pay?
- Yes. You see the whole story, the cover and the first pages before paying. After you order, we draw the rest and show you the whole book before anything is printed, for you to approve or change. Not happy before printing? Full refund.
- What does it cost?
- $44.99 for the hardcover, 8.5 × 8.5 inches, 32 pages in full colour. Shipping is free to the US, the UK and Ireland; to Canada, Australia and New Zealand you pay the postage ($10–16).
