A personalized book for your child and Grandma
Tell us about your child and their grandma: how they look, what they love doing together, where she lives. We write an original story with your child as the hero and Grandma beside them, and draw them the same on every page. Grandpa, a cousin or the dog can join in too.

A sample: “Theo and the Snowy Day”
Made on our form, like any book, in the colored pencil style. The family is invented; this is what they wrote:
Theo, 4. A four-year-old boy with pale skin, rosy cheeks, blue eyes and messy light brown hair, wearing a red knitted jumper with a white reindeer, navy trousers and yellow wellies. Loves: snow, feeding the ducks and grandma's hot chocolate. A snowy day at Grandma's house: building a snowman together, a walk to feed the ducks at the pond, and hot chocolate by her fire. Also in the story: Grandma.

Snow fell softly at Grandma’s house. Theo pressed his nose to the window. “A snow day!”

Grandma helped him get snug and warm. Coat, hat, mittens—then out they went!

“Let’s make a snowman,” said Grandma. Theo rolled a little snowball. Roll, roll, roll!

- His snowball grew big and round. Grandma rolled one more, and together they made a snowy stack.
- Theo added a carrot nose and two pebble eyes. Grandma wrapped a green scarf around their snowman.
- “Now let’s visit the ducks,” said Grandma. She packed a little tub of oats, and Theo waved goodbye to the snowman.
- Crunch, crunch went their feet. Theo held Grandma’s hand all the way to the pond.
- The ducks paddled over. “Hello, ducks!” said Theo. Their little tails went wiggle, wiggle.
- Grandma gave him a small handful of oats. Sprinkle, sprinkle! Theo scattered them on the grass, away from the water.
- Peck, peck went the ducks. Theo watched quietly beside Grandma. “A little snowy picnic,” she said.
- Then they headed home. Crunch, crunch! Their snowman was waiting, still wearing his green scarf.
- Inside, they took off their snowy things and washed their hands. Grandma made two mugs of hot chocolate.
- By the fire, they let the chocolate cool. Theo took a little sip. “Mmm! Warm and sweet.”
- “Snow, ducks, and chocolate,” said Theo, snuggling close. “And you,” said Grandma. Outside was snowy. Inside was snug.

Questions
- Is it a gift for Grandma or for my child?
- Either. Give it to Grandma to read with your child when they visit, or let Grandma give it to your child. The first page can carry a message from whoever gives it.
- Can Grandma make it herself?
- Yes. Anyone can make the book and have it sent straight to the grandchild; shipping is free to the US, the UK and Ireland. Not sure of every detail? Send the preview's link to the parents: they can check how the child looks and change any words before you order.
- Will Grandma look like her?
- She is drawn from your words, not from a photo: her hair, her glasses, the cardigan she always wears. Expect a likeness in the book's style rather than a portrait.
- Can Grandpa be in it too?
- Yes: up to 3 more characters besides your child, so Grandma, Grandpa and the dog can all be in the story. Each gets a reference drawing and looks the same on every page.
- Will it arrive by Christmas?
- Yes, if you order and approve the book by these days: the US by Sunday, November 29; the UK by Sunday, December 6; Canada by Tuesday, November 24; Ireland by Thursday, November 19; Australia by Tuesday, November 17; New Zealand by Tuesday, November 17.
- Can I see the book before I pay?
- Yes. You see the whole story, the cover and the first pages before paying. After you order, we draw the rest and show you the whole book before anything is printed, for you to approve or change. Not happy before printing? Full refund.
- What does it cost?
- $44.99 for the hardcover, 8.5 × 8.5 inches, 32 pages in full colour. Shipping is free to the US, the UK and Ireland; to Canada, Australia and New Zealand you pay the postage ($10–16).
